1. Trishundya Mayureshwar Ganapati temple, Pune

“Trishund” – The word actually means three trunks. In a narrow lane of Somvar Peth area of pune lies this temple dedicated to Lord Ganesh.
This was believed to be built in 1754 – 1770 . This temple depicts a rare idol of Lord Ganesh having three trunks, six hands and astride a peacock.
2. Hadimba Temple, Manali

This temple dedicated to Hidimba, sister of the Demon Hidim. It’s built around a cave where Hidimba performed meditation and has a unique pagoda style architecture.
3.Brahma Temple, Pushkar

The temple is dedicated to the Lord Brahma and is believed to be 2000 years old. Very few temples remain in Pushkar as most of the temples here were destroyed by Aurangzeb.
The walls inside the temple are embedded with silver coins by devotees who inscribe thier names on the coins as an offering to Lord Brahma.
4. Bullet Baba , Rajasthan

Also known as Om Banna is a shrine devoted to a deity in the form of a motorcycle.
When Om Banna was travelling, he lost control of his bike, struck a tree and died instantly. When the Police took the motorcycle to the police station it was reported to have disappeard and returned to the accident spot.
Next day the police took the motorcycle back to the police station, emptied its tank and chained it , to prevent its removal and yet the bike returned to the accident spot.
The locals believe that praying to this deity saves people from road accidents.
5. Chinese Kali Temple , Kolkata

The temple is located in a small chinatown in Kolkata. Though the Chinese are predominantly Buddhist and Christians, they visit this temple and offer prasad like chop-suey, noodles etc.

6. Disappearing Temple – Vadodara, Gujrat

8.Kal Bhairav Nath Temple,Ujjain

This temple is dedicated to the Deity Kal Bhairav Nath. The main offerings here is alcohol, preferably wine. Gallons of liquor is poured directly into the mouth of the Deity here.
9. Karni Mata Temple, Rajasthan

10. Submerged Shiva Temple, Varanasi

This temple lies on the bank of the river Ganga is completely submerged in the river. It is said that the temple due to the sheer weight of the ghat’s construction. Today the temple is closed & abandoned.

14. Bharat Mata Temple, Varanasi
