Walk around Rynek Główny Central Square

Rynek Główny Central Square is a vibrant medieval old town centre to explore that is also packed with cafes, restaurants and bars to visit. One unforgettable activity is visiting the St. Mary’s Basilica 15th century church for only £6.

Visit the Wawel Castle

The Wawel Castle located in Kraków features a museum that shows the breathtaking Polish crown treasury and armoury along with royal tombs. Not feeling like spending £10? Well, the outer grounds and the courtyard is completely free to walk around to look around the castle.

If you are wanting to experience more of the busy stag-do nightlife, then this is the place to go to experience Poland’s iconic shot bar. If you are looking for a more relaxed night out with some authentic Polish food and a couple chill drinks, the historic Jewish quarter is the place to go. Walking around this area at night is great to see the lantern-lit streets and the old synagogues. While it is more expensive, you are paying for the experience and the chilled atmosphere.

Visit the Łazienki Królewskie

A day out to the Łazienki Królewskie in the city centre is perfect if you want to see classic European architecture as well as extravagant nature and wildlife. This is perfect for a nice picnic in the gardens, or a stroll in and around the manor house.

Directed Stroll Around the City of Warsaw

This jam-packed walk takes you around the city with checkpoints such as The Castle Square, The Royal Castle, The Old Town Market Square, St. John’s Cathedral, The Barbican, The Presidential Palace and the University of Warsaw. As this is a pay what you wish activity, it makes a cheap and fun day out.

Pawilony Bar Crawl

This area is known for the drinking culture for the people that want to have a night out they will not forget. This part of town is known for their cheap drinks and perfect for backpackers and students to be social with other travellers.

Vistula River Stroll

This is for people that want to have a slower night out, there are two sides to this river; the Western Bank (Vistula Boulevards) where there are cafes and restaurants and The Eastern Bank (Praga Side), which features a scenic nature hike.

Wroclaw – Daytime Activities

Visit the Cathedral Island

This Island draws tourists in to see its gothic architecture and picturesque hand-lit lantern streets, keeping the tradition going and taking people back in time to experience the oldest part of Wroclaw.

Nadodrze District

Wroclaw cuisine is definitely one to try with a mix of rich Lower Silesian, German, and Czech culinary traditions, it is not to disappoint. With tons of cheap restaurants spread across the city, it makes for a nice wine and dine night out.

It’s very popular with people all over the world, with British Citizenship holders making up a large percentage of tourists in the country. Those from the UK have made Poland a top destination for their travels and it’s no surprise with the low-budget fun that is awaiting them. No matter the country you live in, it’s definitely worth going to this fantastic country.
